Dynamic Water Polo Warm-Up Routine

Check out this warm-up by www.WaterPoloTraining.net demonstrated by the author of Water Polo Training, Michael Reid, B.HE. CSCS, RKC. Michael has created a custom warm up, specific to the necessary movements to prepare water polo athletes for practice.

Michael has written many articles for the water polo community on shoulder rehabilitation, strength training, swim workouts, dry-land training programs, and the general science behind water polo.

This dynamic warm up routine begins with simple movements that progress from the shoulder & rotator cuff to elbows, hands & wrists, hips, and knees, followed by more complex movements that help to get your body warm, loose and ready for anything you might have to do in your practice.

Every athlete requires a warm up that meets their individual needs based on what is going on with their bodies; different body parts will require different amounts of attention on various days. Learn about different warm up techniques that can help you reach the top of your game. And make sure to drop Michael a thank you on his blog or youtube channel!
